 GROWTH INCENTIVE SCHEME

Kosice International Airport has decided to make a transparent and non-discriminatory offer to airlines designed to increase the number of frequencies (frequency incentive scheme), promote taking up new routes (destination incentive scheme) and strengthening the hub function.

Frequency incentive scheme
-The incentive applies exclusively to additional frequencies that are served in addition to the number of frequencies currently served,
-If an airline introduces a new route that has already been served by another airline from KSC, this shall be considered an additional frequency.
-If long-haul destinations are served including an intermediate landing at a European airport, these services shall be considered long-haul services provided that wide body aircraft (double aisle) are being used.
-Should the operating carrier change in case of cooperation flights without increasing the actual number of frequencies, this shall not be considered an additional frequency.
-The monitoring period is defined as scheduled/regular flights per week within the past two flight schedule periods.

Destination incentive scheme
-A new destination shall be considered a city which has not been served from KSC for the past two flight schedule periods by a direct flight (non-stop or via intermediate points).
-Extensions of existing routes beyond existing destinations shall be neither considered new destinations (routes) nor additional frequencies.
-Changes in routing in the course of which an existing destination is included shall not be considered a new destination (route). It can merely be considered an additional frequency to the destination in case of destinations which have previously been served by a direct flight.

Scope of the incentive scheme
-The incentive amount shall be a percentage of the landing fee and the passenger service charge charged by Kosice International Airport according to the current tariff regulations for the flights actually operated (no code shares or consecutive flight numbers).

Destination incentive: 50% for 24 months.
Frequency incentive: 25% for 24 months.

Basic principles
-The offer of these two types of incentive may be revoked any time by Kosice International Airport without giving reasons.
-Kosice International Airport exclusively reserves the final decision whether this incentive scheme applies to routes and frequencies.
-The airline shall not have a legal claim to concluding an incentive agreement. However, for reasons of competition regulations, an equal treatment of all airlines is necessary according to the above provisions.
